I thought I would really like Aero for Vista, but after a week of it, I'm ready to vomit. What do the rest of you think? Does Aero appeal to you? Do love it, like it, or hate it?

I can't wait to see what skins can be made by some real artist though!

Aero would have been nice if it had not been, and continues to be repeatedly exploited, violated, exhasperated, manipulated, castrated, and dialated to the point of producing the preverbial "Chunks" that you speak of after just one week!

I change my desktop a LOT. One week I may have an exact replica of Vista (and Aero) running on XP, and the next week it would look precicely like Mac OS X. Almost every desktop theme gets boring after a while. I actually prefer my skin to be something like Eminence, where it has elements that I like of every OS built in to one skin. Like Phoon said, Aero is always being degraded and copied by people that might not even know what Vista is. It's just plain sad. Its insulting to all of us beta testers that have been using Vista since even the alphas of Longhorn. It pisses me off bad.

I'm quite happy with it. I like the smoothness of the experience. I only hope that we'll be able to tap into this and tweak it eventually. (thomassen looks at Stardock wiht hopeful eyes)

I'm not sure who you are angry with...is it the people who copy it, downgrade it, dislike it? Why would you, as a Beta tester, be upset that someone's personal opinion is not liking something. I work on stuff all the time that people dislike. I don't typically get upset about it unless their beef takes a personal tone.

I am in agreement with thomassen, I expect great things can be done with it that will make it "Zing."
